Collaborative Innovation Networks (COINS)

Project Co-ordinator

£24,475 to £26,731

Fixed Term to 29 August 2014

COINS is an ambitious, leading edge project which will create networks of organisations with a shared  interest in developing low carbon products, processes and services through collaboration. The project aims to improve business performance by assisting businesses to grow sustainably and profitably. Also key to the project is its market-driven focus and its aim to have a real impact in the local economy.

COINS, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will support the achievement of the Scottish Government’s ambitious emission reduction targets and its objective that 50% of Scotland’s energy should be produced through renewable sources by 2020.

Adam Smith College, partnering with private and public sector organisations, will lead a range of initiatives including the realisation of sustainable products, processes and services.

We are looking for a forward thinking person, with the initiative to progress tasks and actions independently, to bring drive and ambition to this important and exciting project.

You will promote the project among potential participants and manage relationships with participants, co-ordinating and promoting interaction between different networks of the project.  You will also develop and implement initiatives and activities that add value to the aims and objectives of the project and provide support to the Advisory Board and project Steering Group.

Educated to a minimum of HND level in a relevant discipline, you will have comprehensive business development and customer service experience with a successful track record of project/business analysis and administrative experience.  A good understanding of low carbon/renewable energy industries and basic CRM experience are essential.  You will also be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills along with an ability to build productive internal and external relationships.

Applicants should note that appointment to this post will require a satisfactory PVG check.

Previous candidates need not apply.
