Museum

Situated in the High Street, the building was gifted to the town by local historian and benefactor, Alexander Laing. The permanent gallery has a re-creation of Laing's study and on display are some of the unusual objects he collected as well as other objects from the Museum's collections.There is also an annual temporary exhibition on a local history topic.  Antiquarian and reference books from Laing's own collection are also held in this Museum.

 

 

 

Opening Hours

1 April - 30 September (inclusive) 12 noon - 5pm daily. Other times by appointment.
