Lochgelly North School is situated on the edge of the town of Lochgelly in McGregor Avenue. It sits in extensive grounds with views to the north of fertile valley and farmland, and southerly views of a housing scheme. The building was erected in 1959 as an Occupational Centre and became a school in 1974.

Theschool currently provides education for young people between the ages of 11 and 19 who have additional support needs. All have an Integrated or Coordinated Support Plan.

Our aim is to create an ethos within the school environment where pupils, parents and staff work together in partnership so that all pupils reach their full potential. The school is very well supported by Lochgelly High School and many pupils benefit immensely from participating in classes there.  We have good links with local colleges, the Scottish Society for Autism and other agencies who support our senior pupils as they move into the adult world.

Any queries regarding Lochgelly North School can be made by contacting the headteacher, Mary Sparling, directly on 01592 583481.
