Print MapOur school is situated in the centre of Freuchie and serves the village and the surrounding area. The main building is Victorian, with more recent additions. There are also 2 huts providing classroom and dining accommodation. We use the adjacent church hall for PE and drama, and the playing field across the road for games activities. Our nursery is contained within the main building.
We have 7 school aims, one of which is to provide a welcoming, safe environment in which pupils, parents and the wider community can work together in a mutually supportive partnership.
Our broad-based curriculum includes a distinct Scottish element centred around St. Andrew's Day in November. A group of P6 and P7 pupils receive tuition on brass instruments. We have several after-school clubs including football, gardening, aerobics, activities for P1-3 and choir. We send our P6 and P7 pupils to Ardroy Outdoor Centre every second year and they always find this a great experience.
We have an Out of School Club in school. Parents are able to pay for sessions both before and after the school day. The service also operates locally during the school holidays.
The Pupil Council meets monthly and is an effective forum for raising issues of concern to the pupils.
We are always pleased to meet with parents and prospective parents who wish to discuss any aspect of the school with us.
