'Venite Post Me' Come Follow Me, the school motto is at the heart of the RE Department.
All pupils in the school will receive two periods a week of core RE from S1-S6, and will participate in liturgical events throughout the church calendar.
In addition to this pupils will be given the opportunity to study RMPS in S5/S6 at Higher level.
The RE department is part of the Religious Education and International Education Faculty which oversees the Global Citizenship opportunites of the school and will provide an education which enriches the whole person and their place in the global community.
The department leads a number of whole school intitives including SCIAF, Fairtrade, Invisible Children and International Education - Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.Proverbs 31:8-9
The staff of the RE department include Mrs M De Soyza, Miss V Ferguson , Mr W Sloan SLT and Faculty Head Mrs Y Lynch.
This year the department will be implementing the denominational Curriculum for Excellence programme, which will include a collaborative learning experience with PSE as part of the Health and Wellbeing programme - Called to Love.
