Pupils who successfully complete the Intermediate 1 course at the end of S4 will progress to Intermediate 2 (see S3/4 Courses for details) and pupils who successfully complete the Intermediate 2 course (see S3/4 Courses for details) will progress to Higher:
Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2 courses are also offered to S5/6 pupils who wish to attempt these for the first time.
Higher Business Management
The course consists of 3 units:
1 Business Enterprise
This unit looks at the different types of businesses eg sole trader, partnerships, companies, charities etc to see how they operate, where they get the finances from, and how they affect society.
2 Business Decision Areas
These 2 units looks at the various departments in an organization – Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Operations and also looks at the internal structure of the organisation.
All pupils studying Higher/Intermediate 2 Business Management have access to the BusinessStudiesTeacher a link to the departments website where our homework exercise and revision materials are published. No more 'lost' homework excuses and you can still access the homework even if you miss the class. How great is that!
