We want to provide learning opportunities or children to:

  • enjoy energetic activity both indoors and out and the feeling of wellbeing that it brings;
  • explore a range of different ways in which they can use their bodies in physical activity;
  • express ideas and feelings and respond to music and imaginative ideas in rhythmic and expressive movement;
  • run, jump, skip, balance, throw and catch with increasing skills and confidence;
  • co-operate with others in physical play and games;
  • develop increasing control of fine movement of their fingers and hands;
  • be safe in movement and in using tools and equipment.
