School Travel Plans

You can make your journey to school cheaper, healthier, and more enjoyable. By creating a School Travel Plan, which is a package of measures that encourage smarter travel, you'll find school travel easier.

  • the health of you and your child could be improved;
  • safety around your school can be improved;
  • create and enjoy a more sociable community;
  • you can feel good about helping the environment.

  • links in with Safer Routes to School;
  • helps achieve Eco-Schools status;
  • helps achieve Cycling Scotland's Cycle Friendly School award;
  • helps become Health Promoting Schools accredited.
