| Description | Children 1st - In Safe Hands - Club Child Protection Officer Training In Safe Hands focuses on helping clubs to put child protection policies into practice. The workshop is aimed at those operating in sports clubs as the Child Protection/Welfare Officer. Subjects covered include legal duties, roles and responsibilities, practical procedures (including safe recruitment and selection of those who have contact with children in sport) and how to appropriately manage concerns. As well as exploring the relevant issues through discussion, the workshop offers practical advice, examples, resources and information about ongoing support available to sports clubs. Those attending this workshop - In Safe Hands, should have first attended the Sports Coach UK, Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop or equivalent.
Course Details This three hour course will run once every six months. The next workshop is below:-
