Fife Council's Energy Programme

In January 2013 Fife Council’s Executive Committee approved the Energy Strategy. It is being implemented through the Energy Programme led by the Climate Change and Zero Waste Team in Resource Efficient Solutions (this link will take you to an external website).

The mission of our programme is:

To reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption from the council’s assets and generate energy and income from renewable sources.

The Energy Programme consists of four project clusters:

  • Energy Efficiency
  • Wind
  • Other renewables
  • District Heat.

The projects are in various stages of development. Their outputs will contribute significantly to the climate change targets set out by the Scottish Government and also to the Council’s long-term goals.
