If you owe money there's free, confidential and independent money advice available. Topics we can advise you on include:
- making the most of your income;
- applying for grants;
- getting out of debt; and
- what you can do if you face:
- being evicted
- having your electricity or gas cut off
- having your wages stopped
- running out of money (including becoming bankrupt)
- being refused loans
If you're a new council tenant and you need help setting up a budget and bill payments, to maximise your income or to get any of the help mentioned above we can assist you and even offer ongoing support if you are a vulnerable tenant (elderly, disabled, very young etc).

The helpline is available from 0800-1830 Monday to Friday, and 0900-1300 Saturday, excluding bank holidays and public holidays.
