Emergency road closure in Newburgh
Archived news: published on Friday 14 Oct 2011 by Fife Council
Transportation & Environmental Services have had to instigate an emergency road closure in Newburgh due a collapsed retaining wall.
The unadopted path from Hill Road to Guthrie Court, which is also used by vehicles, has had to be closed due to the retaining wall at Clatchard Court partially collapsing.
A detailed inspection of the wall will be carried out by a Fife Council engineer as soon as possible. In the meantime the steep ground has been fenced off as far as possible and signs have been erected advising the public to keep out.
Access to existing properties will be maintained via Hill Road or Guthrie Gardens.
