Fife Council’s Libraries and Museums Service is pleased to announce that they will not charge for overdue books during January.
The weather is treacherous and is making travelling hazardous for all of us. The amnesty will last until the end of January 2010, or until the weather improves, so please have no concerns about holding onto books beyond their due date for the time being.
While every effort is being made to keep all of our libraries open at advertised times, there have been problems with lack of heating and also with staff getting to and from work. If you have arrived, expecting to find us open, only to find we are closed, please accept our apologies. Closures are publicised on the council web site www.fifedirect.org.uk as soon as we are aware of them.
Please remember that you can renew your books over the phone or, again, on the FifeDirect website, where you can also reserve items held in our stock.
