Do you know a group working with the under 12s which deserves recognition for their hard work in helping young children to have a say? If so, we would like to hear from you...
The Children's Voices Awards have been set up to recognise and celebrate good practice in promoting the involvement of young children in decision making.
Nominations are invited in three age categories: 0 - 4 years, 5 - 8 years and 9 - 12 years.
In Fife, the Big Shout recognises the value of creativity in involving children in decision making. So we encourage your group to produce a poster representation of your work with children as the main means of submitting a nomination for this award. But don't panic!... awards will not be made on the merit of the artworks, but on the quality of the work to involve children in making decisions.
Closing date for award nominations is Friday 19 March 2010. Nominations will be considered by a judging panel, chaired by Cllr Douglas Chapman.
