Dysart Support Centre wins Excellence Award for work in outdoor education

On Friday 22nd June at an awards ceremony in Rothes Halls,Glenrothes  Dysart Support Centre received a prestigeous Fife Partnership Excellence Award 2012 in the category  'One for the future'.

It was presented for excellence in their Natural Connections outdoor education programme.

The children in the support centre work with pupils from the mainstream primary school on a variety of elements towards the Natural Connections outdoor education award.

The six elements of the programme are:

  • Discovering nature
  • Working together
  • Adventure skills
  • Finding your way
  • Journeying
  • Helping the environment

"If you are not very good at something, don't worry because you can do it!"

"Don't give up - even if you think you can't do it, you can!"
