Provost of Fife, Jim Leishman helped the 83rd Fife (Cairneyhill) Scout Group open the new extension to their hall on Wednesday night (27 June).

The "Back to the Future" extension project was funded by the EU LEADER in Fife Programme, Fife Council and the Lottery Awards for All as well as fundraising by the Scouts themselves. The extra space will come in handy for all the community groups that use the Scout hall on a weekly basis, including storage for assisted cycling events and Cairneyhill football teams.

On the night, the group also celebrated 10 years of Explorer Scouting with a special cake.
