Councillor appointed as Vice-Chair of SEStrans

Fife Council's Executive Spokesperson for Transport & Environment, Cllr. Pat Callaghan, was elected Vice Chair of the South-East of Scotland Transport Partnership last week. The appointment was made at SEStran’s inaugural Partnership Board meeting in Edinburgh on Friday following the recent Local Government elections.
SEStran is the Regional Transport Body covering the geographical areas of Fife, Edinburgh, Scottish Borders, Falkirk, Clackmannanshire, East Lothian, West Lothian and Mid Lothian Councils.
Cllr. Callaghan said of the decision: “I’m delighted to be appointed as Vice Chair of SEStran. Fife’s excellence in many areas of transportation will be very beneficial in shaping and determining the future of transport in the South-East of Scotland, and I look forward very much to representing Fife on the Regional Transport Board.”
