From Tuesday 7 May Cupar Local Office will be moving back to County Buildings. The new office has been refurbished to provide customers access to a range of services under one roof. Facilities include a refurbished reception area and waiting room and new meeting/interview rooms.

Andrew Stokes Customer Service Team Leader, said “We are delighted to be moving back to County Buildings and providing services and advice in the centre of town once again. The office has been designed and equipped to deliver services in the way our customers require, whether it is an enquiry which can be dealt with quickly using our self-service unit, or something more complex where our Advisors can talk to customers in one of our private interview rooms.”

The reopening of the Local Office is the latest milestone in the £3.2 million refurbishment of County Buildings. The project also includes refurbishment of office accommodation to provide a modern, flexible office environment that can support a wider range of staff, and repairs to the fabric of the building.

Jonathan Miles, Service Manager Asset Management commented, “The County Buildings refurbishment is part of Fife Council’s Office Rationalisation Programme which is designed to make better use of office space, resulting in better delivery of services and lower running costs. To date 39 offices have been closed. By 2015 a total of 68 offices will be closed, retaining 27 refurbished offices. By April 2015, it is expected that the programme will have generated over £6 million in savings and save approximately £2.8m a year thereafter.”
