Gateside Carriageway Improvements for Bowyer Park and Station Road

Archived news: published on Thursday 27 Aug 2009 by Fife Council

Fife Council Transportation Services are set to commence a carriageway improvement scheme in Station Road and Bowyer Park, Gateside.

Works are due to commence on Monday 31 August 2009 and last for approximately two weeks.  The works involve the complete renewal of the entire carriageway surfaces on both Station Road, from the junction with Main Street in the North to the old railway bridge in the South, and Bowyer Park over its entire length but not including the slip road to the north side.

It is necessary to close Station Road from the junction at Main Street down to the bridge as above to allow safe completion of the works. Local access for residents will still be possible into Station Road and Bowyer Park but will be limited and at the contractors discretion. No through route will be possible. Access to properties to the south of the closure will be via Strathmiglo and/or Balgeddie on the Q57 local route.
