Reducing inequalities is a winning approach

On Friday 22nd June 2012, the Early Years Family Support in Fife Team won a Fife Partnership Excellence Awards with their submission in the Reducing Inequalities category. The event was held in the Rothes Halls, Glenrothes.
This project has been developed over the last two years across Fife’s nursery schools and classes as well as out in community venues. The partnerships involved in the development of this project now include the pre school home visiting service, health visitors, family and community support teams, and a range of voluntary sector services.
Staff in our nurseries and partner services have been key to the success of this initiative and the outstanding results would not have been achieved without the full participation and involvement of staff, parents and children. Credit for the success of the Family Support in Fife initiative is firmly held by all who show enthusiasm and the dedication to work closely with young children and their parents. They help to provide them with rich experiences at a very early stage, which they might otherwise miss out on.
Well done to you all.
