A partnership project between Youth 1st & Glenrothes CLD youth-work, enabled a group of young people from Glenrothes to plan and deliver a Health & Well-being festival for their peers on Saturday 26th May 2012.
The festival took place at Glenrothes YMCA and gave young people who came along opportunity to sample a variety of activities and information stalls, that promoted healthy lifestyles and positive well-being. Activities included Zumba, Smoothy Making, First Aid, The Hub (NHS), Youth Information and Boxercise.
Positive feedback was received from young people which is illustrated through the following statements.
"I thought it was good, I liked the Zumba and I would come to an event like this again."
"I learned a lot of important information…..it went very well….was very sociable and fun".
"Even though I knew a bit about First Aid, I learnt more today!"
