This week Fife Safety Camera Partnership Manager, Andrew Jones asks drivers/riders to boost their driving knowledge:

"Journey planning and vehicle maintenance are key to good driving practice but when was the last time you tested your knowledge of 'The Highway Code'?

“We regularly speak with drivers who genuinely do not know the correct speed limit for the vehicle and road that they are on - it's fair to say that we can all benefit from a knowledge refresh now and again.   Even established drivers may be surprised at the result of testing themselves, especially if they haven't looked at 'The Highway Code' since passing the driving test. "

There are several easy ways you can undertake a re-test and it's a good way to improve your driving confidence:-

Try out the 'practice test' for drivers and motorcylists on DVLA website:

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/diol1/doitonline/dg_4017669

Borrow a copy of 'The Official Highway Code' (revised 2007 Edition) from your local library.  Local libraries may have the interactive cd-rom version which contains self-testing sections.

Buy a copy online at www.tsoshop.co.uk
