After greeting the Burntisland Exiles at a traditional civic reception in the Burgh Chambers, Fife Provost Jim Leishman joined the crowds at the Highland Games on Monday.

The event was well attended and, for once this summer, the rain held off. The Provost even tried his hand at the hammer!

"It was a fantastic day," Mr Leishman said, "I met so many people, some that I haven't seen for a long time. One of my earliest memories is of the Burntisland Games and it's great to see it's still so popular, with people coming back year after year."
