Limekilns Road closure for flood prevention works delayed

Archived news: published on Thursday 14 Jun 2012 by Fife Council

FIFE COUNCIL Transportation & Environmental Services was set to close Limekilns Road today (Thursday, 14 June)  to build a new culvert to reduce the risk of flooding in south west Dunfermline as part of the Dunfermline Flood Prevention Scheme.

These works have had to be postponed for two to three weeks as a result of contractual issues. The road closure will now take place over the schools’ summer holidays during a period of reduced traffic.  Advance warning of the new date of closure will be signed as well as promoted in the local press and on line at www.fifedirect.org.uk

Fife Council apologises for any inconvenience this necessary change may have caused.
