Beautiful Fife Garden Competition 2012
As the weather warms up, thoughts are turning towards spending time in the garden and Beautiful Fife Garden Competition 2012 is now looking for applicants.
Fife Council Parks and Community Events Officer, Keith Jackson said: “Gardening is enjoyed by more than 20 million Britons and we want to encourage all green fingered Fifers to enter the Beautiful Fife Garden Competition 2012.
“I would stress that whilst it is a competition, it should also be fun. Everyone that enters the competition receives a medal, providing they reach a minimum standard. This allows entrants to benchmark against themselves so in future years they can maintain their standard or hopefully improve.”
The garden categories are Flower Formal, Flower Landscaped, Mixed Gardens, Vegetable Gardens and Floral Baskets and Containers, and will be judged towards the end of July. An application form is attached to this news page for download, or alternatively contact Margaret Mackenzie on 01592 583268 for a copy.
