Riverside Park Mosaic

Archived news: published on Friday 15 Jun 2012 by Fife Council

This is a really exciting project for Glenrothes which intends to brighten up the park and leave some beautiful art work for years to come. We would like to offer the opportunity for anyone who might have an interest in this to get involved. Please note that it doesn't matter how artistic you think you might be or what experience you might have - there will be lots of different jobs involved from laying out the design to smashing tiles and even mixing cement. The more help we have, the more chance the mural will have to look amazing! It is a really big project as the wall is over 15 metres long, so it's not something we can do without your help!

We are going to have an initial meeting on Friday 22nd of June at 2pm at Auchmuty Learning Centre, 81 Alexander Road, Glenrothes for anyone who would like to get involved. The meeting will really just be to establish a team of interested people and see how we can take it from there. We are being very ambitious in the hope that we may have a large part of the design established to showcase at the Park festival which will take place at the end of July.
