About Leuchars Freewheelers

Passing beneath the Tay railway bridge.

Leuchars Freewheelers is a voluntary cycling initiative to bring cyclists of all standards together for leisurely, social cycle rides.  Local cyclists and those from areas out with Leuchars are encouraged to get involved.

Rides

The rides are monthly, normally on a Sunday and it is free to participate. Light rain showers will not put us off but check with the organiser if in doubt.  Click here to locate our start point.

The emphasis is on enjoyment and there are plenty stops for rests and photographs along the way. Choose whether to have a packed-lunch or eat in a comfortable cafe on our route.

Where possible, traffic-free routes along the National Cycling Network are taken but these are limited.

Register to Cycle

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. To assist ride planning please register your interest by phone or email before attending a ride.

Dundee - Riverside Path.

Route Suitability

Most routes are suitable for families with older children when accompanied by a responsible adult.  Younger children may travel in approved bicycle trailers or seats.
