Elected to Fife Council 2003, re-elected 2007. Previous Opposition Spokesperson on Community Safety, Chair of Community Safety Scrutiny Committee. Member of Police Disciplinary & Complaints Committee, IRMP Working Group, Licensing Chairs' Committee and East Fife Area Services Committee and East Fife Area Development Committee. From 2007, Vice Chair of Police, Fire and Safety Committee, Convener of Fife and Forth Valley Community Justice Authority and Chair of Fife Fire and Rescue Services Cultural Audit Working Group (short term). Works within the NHS in Tayside as their Hand Hygiene Co-ordinator.
Interests
Member of Cupar Choral Society, member and Elder in the Church of Scotland. Gardening and Scottish country dancing. Cllr Kennedy's surgeries are:- Cupar - First Saturday of each month, 10am to 11am in Corn Exchange, Cupar. Various villages in ward - In the half hour previous to the Community Council meeting.
