A Good Yarn
Profile
A Good Yarn is a knitting group for members of the public set up by the staff of Dunfermline Carnegie Library. We meet regularly to knit and blether with a cup of tea or coffee and a good biscuit.
Any knitter - or crocheter/sewer/crafter is more than welcome to come along. Our members range from absolute beginners to the more adventurous. Have a knitting problem or question you can't find the answer to? Come along to a group and let us help.
We knit for ourselves and also for charity and there is always a good selection of craft books to borrow on the night as well as knitting sites to visit on our customer pcs. There are currently 1,180,000 sites offering free knitting patterns on the internet, so you need never pay for a pattern again! Library staff are always available to help members make use of the pcs.
There is no subscription charge, but a donation of 50p is requested to cover refreshment costs.
