We are a Scottish Charity, Registered in Scotland N0 SC035437
A short round up for 2009 going forwards to 2010

Hello folks we come to the end of another successful year for Dunfermline Ask with many events taking place. Our groups continue to produce mediums to a high standard in all disciplines of the movement. The Sunday divine services are well attended and the calibre of the visiting Mediums is excellent however we could do with more patrons coming along as we have plenty of room at Touch Community Centre. We intend to do most of our special events at Touch now we have access to the centre on a Sat evening and there is a list of events on the what’s on page. At the end of every year our Mediums and trainees take the service and what a splendid job they did of it and credit goes to Jean Bruce Tutor, Kerry McLeod Tutor assisted by Debbie Young Medium and of course the novices Derek Rough, June Stein and Vera Wheatley. After the service we had a social evening with music and vocals provided by John Forsyth one of our patrons. Frieda a lovely lady and regular attendee on Sundays sung a medley of songs including some in our native tongue Gaelic which was well received. We had the annual prize draw with loads of glittering prizes the main one being large crystal ball which I won and I intend to use it within our groups. It just proves once again spirit moves in wonderful ways and it seems they want to keep the ball in our possession. Our thanks go out to every-one who helped us through-out the year there are to many to mention (I will be here all day) however I would like to thank Fife Council, Marianne (caretaker), Our Directors and all our Patrons and Friends of Dunfermline Ask. God Bless you all L&L Jock McArthur.

Dunfermline Ask had a busy weekend at Touch Community Centre 30 mercer Place Dunfermline on the Sat evening 26th June 29, 2010

Linda Buchan OSNU gave an excellent demonstration of medium-ship for us. Linda is a busy lady running Stirling SNU Church and

still finds time to go out to other centers along with her work for the Scottish and Irish District Council. Linda gave many illuminating

and in depth messages to the patrons. One of our members brought three friends along who had never been at a spiritualist meeting

before and Linda gave each one a beautiful message to each one in turn. We fully expect these Ladies to return and I am happy their

first encounter with us was a happy and fruitful one. Linda went on to give more messages and were all well received .One family

were re-united with their son and another man of advancing years was thrilled to bits when he had to recall long and distant loving  memories. Linda worked tirelessly for almost an hour and a half and our thanks go out to her and we all look forward to her next

visit to us in a few weeks when she is taking the Sunday Divine Service.

On Sunday evening 27th June our trainee mediums conducted the divine service and a grand job they made of it. There was nine in

total all doing a little bit each. Marshall was the chairperson who skillfully waded through the service and he did well for his first time chairing in front of a congregation. Linda opened in prayer and her sister Sharon closed and both the prayers had a lot of content and substance to them. Sandra gave an excellent reading with a lot of philosophy in it which gave Hazel a great opportunity to give an

excellent address tying it in with the hymns and the seven principles. The mediums were June, Teresa and Derek led by Kerry one

of our in house mediums and they all gave a good account of themselves with all the messages being well received. All of us at

Dunfermline Ask have nothing to worry about in the future as these budding new mediums showed us that they will be able to

take up the mantle when needed. After the service we had a social and an accordionist David came along and played a medley of

Scottish tunes to the delight of our patrons including Ingrid a visitor from Sweden.  This was the finale for the groups who are on

holiday now until the 5th August when they will be back to learn more to take them forwards again to their next public appearance

in the last divine service of 2010. At the rate they are going I will put out to grass soon. L&L Jock
