Fife Police and their partners are pleased to announce that a ‘Be Safe Be Secure’ Road Show is on its way to Templehall. They are inviting local senior citizens along with their family, friends and carers to the event, which will be held at Templehall Community Centre on Wednesday 30th April, 2008 at 1.30 pm.
There will be useful free gifts in relation to home security and refreshments will be provided on the day.
Sam Roberts Fife Cares, Paul Buttercase Fife Police, Mary Siskou Fife Council along with Ian Dempsey from Fife Fire and Rescue Service are all supporting the event. This is all about reassuring some of the most vulnerable members of our community. We will be providing, along with our partners a series of presentations, which will help to ensure that our senior citizens are safe in their homes.
Chief Inspector Gary Crawford said “We would like our senior citizens, for the Kirkcaldy area, to attend this event in order that they heighten their awareness and gain valuable information on the services and support available to them in relation to community safety”. He continued “ Kirkcaldy residents should be reassured that crime is coming down in their area but nevertheless we can never be complacent”.
