Read Out LoudWelcome to Kinglassie Primary School. Ours is a village school, currently accommodating around 114 children mainsteam with a 35 place morning nursery. At present we have one P1 and 4 composite classes.
Our team of dedicated staff endeavours to deliver a Curriculum for Excellence designed to make children independent learners with the opportunity to access a variety of experiences. Our aim is to instil confidence in our pupils and encourage enterprise and creativity in all aspects of school life.
Pupils are well represented by the pupil Council, and the eco-committee which comprises pupils, staff, parents and members of the wider community is proactive in promoting conservation initiatives throughout the school.
A very active parent council represents the parent body and raises funds for various initiatives. In addition, children are supported in class by a growing number of parent helpers and the school is well supported by parents generally. The school is at the heart of the community.
