The school is situated in the centre of Tayport. The building is partly Victorian, erected in 1876. The rest dates from 1939.

The main building houses 11 classrooms, gymnasium, library, computer/resource base, learning support room and office accommodation.

The Medway Hut annexe houses 1 classroom and a dining-hall.

A controlled entry system operates on external doors.

We have an extensive playground area and are about to embark on an exciting project to enhance its learning and teaching potential.

We are proud of our school and celebrate our successes.

Pupil autonomy is high.

Our aim is to create a caring ethos where pupils, parents and staff work together in partnership to provide the highest possible standard of education for all pupils.

We offer a wide curriculum with modern resources. The school is well equipped with a growing range of audio visual equipment and computer software.

Our Parent Council is very active and a range of social and fundraising events are enjoyed throughout the school year. Our Pupil Council meets regularly to discuss issues and ideas raised by their peers.

A residential programme at Ardroy Outdoor Centre is offered to P.7 pupils.

Community links are strong.

As a school we participate in a variety of events to broaden the children s experience and active involvement within their local and the wider community.

We are always pleased to meet with parents to discuss any aspects of our school.
