Service Planning

Service planning is an essential process for the council to achieve its priorities and demonstrate continuous improvement.  It allows us to define actions, monitor progress and report performance as well as prioritising what services we need to deliver to meet the needs of our customers.

Service Plans are aligned to the priorities in the Council Plan and are scrutinised by two committees:

Education, Health and Social Care Scrutiny Committee  considers reports in the following areas:

  • Education, Children and Families
  • Social Work and Health
  • Housing, Communities and Local Services

Environment, Finance and Corporate Services Scrutiny Committee considers reports in the following areas:

  • Environment and Transportation
  • Finance and Corporate Services
  • Business, Enterprise and Planning
