Project update

On Monday 4th February the Heritage Lottery Fund announced its support for the project to the tune of a £2.8 million grant. Fife Council has allocated £6.8 million from its capital budget for the project together with capital support from the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust.

The next stage will be to gather the Design Team together to begin the detailed work which will bring the building alive and ready for business in 2016. Also on the immediate agenda is a full archaeological dig on the car parks behind the library and former bank.
