Exclusion of pupils

We know that children learn best in safe and orderly environments, and all our schools are committed to achieving this aim.  On rare occasions it may be felt that a pupil's continued attendance at school will be detrimental to good order and discipline.  In such circumstances, a pupil may be excluded on a temporary basis to allow the school time to develop a support plan.

If your child is excluded from school, it is important that you work with the school to achieve a positive outcome.

If you feel your child's exclusion is unjustified or the correct procedure has not been followed, you have the right to appeal against the exclusion.  Information concerning your right of appeal is contained in the correspondence you have received from the school.  If you require further information regarding this, please contact us.
