How to Tender

If you are not used to Tendering, advice and guidance on how to compile a quality tender can be sought from the Supplier Development Programme.

Tenders and Quick Quotes should usually be submitted online through the Public Contracts Scotland portal as per instructions set out in the Invitation to Tender/Quote document.  Organisations are required to register on Public Contracts Scotland in order to be able to download and upload information.

Tenders cannot be uploaded into the systems after the Tender deadline has passed.  Tenderers are therefore advised to ensure they leave plenty of time before the applicable deadline to upload their Tenders.  Late Tenders will not be considered.

The Council's preference is that Tenders are submitted in Word format or a PDF format.  The size of any one document can be no greater than 10MB, and the total size of the submission (tender plus supporting documents) must be no greater than 30MB.

In exceptional circumstances the Council may require/allow for hard copy tenders to be submitted.  If this is the case, full instructions regarding submission will be set out in the Invitation to Tender Document.  Hard Copy tenders should not otherwise be submitted and will not be considered.
