Over 101,000 Fife residents now pay their Council Tax by Direct Debit and if you join them you could be in with a chance of winning a years free Council Tax.  If you sign up to Direct Debit you will be entered into a draw to win a years free Council Tax which will take place on 1 July 2011.

Direct Debit is the cheapest, safest and most efficient way to pay your Council Tax.  If you pay by Direct Debit, you can pay your Council Tax on either the 1st or 15th of each month for ten months of the year.

All you will need to set up the Direct Debit is:

• your name and address or your Council Tax reference number 
• the name and address of your bank or building society
• your bank or building society account number
• the branch sort code of your bank or building society 
• the name(s) on the account.
