Drinkaware aims to change the UK’s drinking habits for the better by promoting responsible drinking and finding innovative ways to challenge the national drinking culture to help reduce alcohol misuse and minimise alcohol-related harm.
NHS Live Well - Alcohol - Provides information and tools to help you:
- calculate how many units are in your favourite drinks;
- assess your alcohol intake;
- find out about the effects of consuming too much alcohol on your health; and
- provide tips on cutting down.

There are a number of local specialists that can help you or a loved one if they have a problem with alcohol:
The Fife Alcohol Support Service (takes you to an external website) has counselling services across the Kingdom.
DAPL - Drugs and Alcohol project Limited (takes you to an external site) - who offers one-to-one counselling, support, information and advice to individuals and families who live in Fife, and who are affected by substance use.
