Obstructions

Contact us on the details provided (08451 55 00 99 if out of hours) if you wish to report an obstruction as this is classified as an emergency.

Bins that are left on streets for longer than necessary can not only be unsightly but can also cause an obstruction to pedestrians, sometimes forcing them onto the road.

Householders and proprietors should store their bin within the boundary of their property until the next collection day.

Leaving a bin on the footway for longer than necessary may lead to the bin being removed by the council and a charge levied for its return.

If you are unable to store your bin within the boundary of your property, contact Environmental Services on the details below, so that they can assess your situation and offer advice.
