What is the Taxicard Scheme?

The Taxicard Scheme allows cardholders to travel by taxi at a discounted rate.

Clients who have a  a "C+1" or "Ceye+1" symbol on their myfife card (bus pass) are entitled to taxicards.

How do I use my vouchers, where can I travel and which taxi operator can I use?

You need to use one voucher for each trip you make, each voucher is worth a maximum of £2.00 per journey. You can travel to any destination you want, so long as the journey starts or finishes in Fife. You may only use taxi operators who are registered to participate in the Taxi Concession Scheme, you will receive a list of taxi operators with your book of vouchers.

I don't have a "myfife C+1 or Ceye+1 card", how do I get one?

You can apply for a myfife card by:

• Phoning 08451 550066 to arrange an appointment
• We hold face to face appointments so there are no complicated application forms. We also take your photograph for you
• If you are housebound, we can arrange a home visit
• Once registered, your myfife card should be with you within 20 working days

When you go to register, you need to take along personal proofs confirming who you are and that you are resident in Fife, along with proof of your eligibility.

What do I need to do to prove eligibility? 

To get a card with a "C+1" or a "Ceye+1" symbol on it you need to be in receipt of either:

• Disability Living Allowance (DLA), CARE element at MIDDLE or HIGH rate
• Attendance Allowance

If you are in receipt of one of the above benefits, your benefit award letter, dated within the past year should be shown at your Local Council Office.

or be:

• Registered Blind  -  you should call 01592 583370 and we will confirm your registration with Insight
• Living in a care or residential home - you will need a letter confirming that this is where you live.  This should be shown at your Local Council Office

I have a myfife card with a "C+1" symbol but have not had taxi vouchers for a while, how do I get some more?
 

You should either:

• Complete the tear out postcard at the back of your current taxicard book and send it back to the Taxi Concession Team
• Request a book at your Local Council Services Centre
• Phone 08451 550066

I have a myfife with a "C" symbol, how do I upgrade it to a myfife card with a "C+1" symbol? 

To have your card upgraded, you need to be in receipt of either:
