If you live in an area prone to flooding, there is preventative actions and practical advice to help protect your property, belongings and your family in a flooding emergency.

We have recently completed 2 projects which are aimed to manage flooding and coastal erosion.  The Dunfermline Flood Prevention scheme is a major engineering project that will reduce the risk of flooding at vulnerable locations in the south-west of Dunfermline and the Kirkcaldy Sea Wall to protect against coastal erosion.

Flood Risk Management

SEPA is working closely with the Scottish Government, local authorities and Scottish Water to implement a new approach to manage flood risk in Scotland. It will help to target resources in areas where they can have the greatest impact.
