Eye Care

Picture of eye A new introduction to Eye Care course will be starting at Queen Anne High Community Use from Monday 7th January 2013.

This vocational Eye Care course will cover eyebrow tweezing, waxing, tinting and eye lash tinting to a salon professional standard. Learners will be provided with a salon-quality eye care kit. As well as sitting a short exam, learners will be assessed performing a treatment on a client. Both of these must be negotiated successfully before the Guild of Beauty Therapy certificate is awarded.

The course costs £180.00, which includes all tuition, the kit and the cost of the examination. This course has been approved for Individual Learning Account (ILA) funding. Through Skills Development Scotland, you may be eligible to apply for an Individual Learning Account giving you up to £200 to spend on learning or training. ILAs are for people who are 16 or over and living in Scotland. You must have an income of £22,000 a year or less, or be on benefits to be eligible.

If you are not in education, do not have a degree or above and are not taking part in a National Training Programme (Modern Apprenticeship, Get Ready for Work or Training for Work) you can apply for an ILA.
