Internal Applicants Only A care home offers an alternative home for a person who is unable to continue living at home safely. We currently have 10 local authority homes in Fife, which are continuously staffed and provide meals, activities and help with personal care and daily living. You will contribute to meeting the personal, social and emotional needs of older people and their carers. Including responsibility for assisting people with personal care, administering medication, care planning, keyworking and activities. You will safely carry out the activities outlined above, it is essential to have the ability to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and be able to rise without difficulty. You will work within Health and Safety requirements when using equipment provided for handling situations and being aware of individuals' risk assessments is essential. You will have the ability to achieve an SVQ Level III. Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland, in addition to which you will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council.
