About Tayport
Tayport is well positioned at the mouth of the Tay and commands views out to sea as well as the Dundee and Angus coastline. The town has at its heart a small but busy harbour which is the berth for a growing number of privately owned boats. Tayport is close to the important Tentsmuir Forest site, an area of ecological and scientific interest. The coastline is rich in the variety of bird life, which can be viewed from easily accessible vantage points. Scott and Fyfe and Foodmek are two major employers in the town whose markets stretch far beyond the boundaries of Fife. The town has a thriving community network, which is led by a strong and active community council.
