Dredging Contract

 

The contract to dredge both basins and the entrance channel to St Monans harbour commenced on Wednesday 15 February 2017. The contractor carrying out the works is Shearwater Vessel Holdings Ltd.  Material removed in the first week of the contract is approximately 1200 cubic metres with a further 13,300 cubic metres to be removed from within the harbour basins and entrance channel over the duration of the contract. 

Due to unforeseen circumstances the dredger had to leave St Monans on Thursday evening and, weather permitting, is expected to return on Friday evening or Saturday morning to recommence the works.

Regular updates will be provided on this page throughout the duration of the contract, which is currently proposed to be 8 weeks.
