Accommodation comprises of a two-storey building surrounding an open rectangular garden/play area. This secure area can be utilised by pupils from all stages and is a popular location for environmental activities. The school benefits from extensive, attractive and well maintained landscaped green areas and playing fields. There are 17 classrooms, a dual purpose hall, (equipped with a stage and professional sound system) an ICT room, music/resources room , multi-purpose mobile classroom and office accommodation. The main entrance foyer is used as a reception and as a display area for children's work.

At Pitreavie Primary School our main goal is to encourage and support pupils to fulfil their potential in all areas of school life.  We aim to create an ethos where pupils and staff feel valued and work with parents to provide all children with a high quality standard of education.

Details of curriculum developments can be found in our School Improvement Plan (available from the Headteacher). Specialist teachers of Music, Drama, P.E. and Art make regular visits to school. Individual pupils from P4 upwards may benefit from tuition in Clarsach and from P5 upwards in Double Bass.

Pitreavie Primary School values greatly its partnership with parents. Our PTA, called Pennies for Pitreavie, is extremely pro-active and the Parent Council provides tremendous support in addressing a wide range of issues. Pitreavie Primary offers an extensive programme of extra curricular activities for pupils including Running, Badminton, Netball, Karate, Football, and Scripture Union.

Pitreavie Primary School is active in the wider community and has well established links with many local organisations.
