Purpose of consultation

Request to change the community council boundaries between Benarty and Lochgelly

A petition has been received from various community groups in the Benarty area, asking to change the community council boundary between Benarty and Lochgelly Community Council areas.

The proposed change is shown on the map. It will move the existing boundary, which follows the line of the Lochfitty burn, to a line running between Fife Cycle Park and Lochgelly High School.

The Council’s Community and Housing Committee agreed, at its meeting on 8th November, to commission a review of the boundary. To do so we need to seek the views of residents of both Benarty and Lochgelly areas.
