Scottish Welfare Fund - Ask us


Applicants for Community Care Grants are strictly done online, however we understand from time to time you may need a bit extra support. 

 

Community Care:

This option should only be used once you have tried to Apply online and you do not have friends, family or a support worker that can assist you. You can also go into your local Council Customer Service Centre and request they help you fill out the application.  Please remember to be successfully awarded you MUST meet fund qualifying conditions.

 

Crisis:

If you are in Crisis and are applying for money to buy;  food, electricity, gas, living expenses, etc until your next income is due - you should call 0300 555 0265 between 9am and 2:30pm Monday to Friday,  outwith these hours you can Apply online and we will pick up your Crisis application on our next working day.  You can also go into your local Council Customer Service Centre and request they help you fill out the application or use a phone to call us.

 

If you are still unable to get support elsewhere and need us to call you back about making an application to the fund. 

 

Please use this form and a member of the team to contact you back when they can. 

 

You should not use this form if you:

  • are in Crisis and need money for food, electricity, gas, living expenses, etc   To request a Crisis Grant, call 0300 555 0265 between 9am and 2.30pm Monday to Friday or please Apply online
  • already have an application in for a Community Care Grant and want an update, you can see the current date of applications we are processing here. We are unable to help you further by you contacting us, your enquiry will not be responded to.
