Fife Violence Against Women Partnership’s annual report 2017/18 highlights that still far too many women and children experience violence and abuse across Fife. The police recorded 4,418 instances of domestic abuse, Fife Women’s Aid supported 854 women and 632 survivors were supported by specialist sexual abuse agencies. It is in this context that partners have worked together to challenge abusive behaviour and attitudes that perpetuate it; provide specialist services; hold perpetrators to account and train & support staff. This annual report demonstrates the considerable commitment and range of activity undertaken to address this fundamental violation of human rights.
